Saturday 21st June 2025, Ripon

Time:  10am - 3pm (please arrive promptly at 9.45am to start) 

Where? Hazel House, 75 Allhallowgate, Ripon, HG4 1LE

About: This is a session for Guides, YL and Rangers to have a go at outdoor cooking on an open fire. If you have been more than once before, look out for a 'Ready Steady Cook' event instead. They will make their lunch, snacks and sweet treats, and will be helping with the washing up and clearing away too. Numbers will be limited and there will be plenty of Guiders there.

Essential information:

• Please arrive at 9.45am so we can get started on time.
• What to wear: uniform, suitable outdoor coat and shoes, hair tied back.
• What to bring: drink bottle and a small garden chair
• The event will go ahead in the event of bad weather, we can go inside.
• Girls need to book independently, their unit Guider will not be with them.

Getting there:  You need to arrange your own transport. Park on Allhallowgate and walk up between the walls leading to Community House next to the workhouse museum, continue round the car park to the back. You can drive onto the site but it is busy - DRIVE SLOWLY AND CAREFULLY.
