BUSHCRAFT SESSIONS – 6th October 2024, Harrogate (Brownie & Guide sessions available)

This is a day for Brownies and Guides to come and experience Bushcraft with qualified instructors. Activities will be a selection from fire-lighting, to backwards cooking, whittling and carving.

10am-12pm Brownie-only session

12.30-2.30pm Guide-only session

2.30-4.30pm Guide-only session* ADVANCED SKILLS - this is an advanced bushcraft session, for girls who have already attended a bushcraft session.

What to Wear:

- Walking boots or wellingtons

- Comfortable clothing that can get dirty

- Bring waterproofs

Cost – £15.00 (reduced from £20 due to Girlguiding grant)

Directions to Almsford Bank Stables, Leeds Road, Harrogate: From Harrogate go down Leeds road towards Pannal and when you enter the 50 mph stretch slow down round the bend, look for the road surface changing colour and the drive is on the left, it’s a fairly large entrance with white walls. Coming from the Leeds direction come up the hill past the Mercedes garage on the right, the garden centre on the left and go into the outside lane ready to turn right into the hatched area when you see the drive entrance. The postcode is HG3 1EW but this takes you to the garden centre. Hope all that makes sense!
